Oh, where have you gone Brandon Tartikoff? The sorry state of NBC should come with a parental warning. They hung their hopes on the unbelievable dominance on Thursday night for decades...until "Friends" ended and CBS managed to usurp "ER."The Peacock has three new dramas, two new reality series and one comedy. Oddly, only "The West Wing" has moved which means NBC has the most stable sked of any net. That can't be good.
Both reality series "The Apprentice: Martha Stewart" and "Three Wishes" are going to do just fine. Their other three dramas? "Surface" might catch, I think "E-Ring" will, but "Inconceivable" is one of my Top 2 for First to Die.
There are only 4 half-hours of comedy on the entire sked...and one of those is "My Name is Earl." I don't think NBC comedy development staff is doing their best work. (They've got a total interest in two shows and a partial interest in one.)
This sked is not a way for NBC to climb out of the cellar.
