To break his bro (Dominic Purcell) out of jail and save him from being executed for an assassination he says he didn't commit, Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller) robs a bank to land himself in the same maximum-security prison. Sounds crazy, but Michael, a structural engineer, thinks he can pull the escape off, thanks to blueprints tattooed on his body. But even if his elaborate scheme works, the political conspiracy that put his brother away awaits them on the outside.

i opine...
"Prison Break" gets the award for Earliest (New) Show Debut, showing three hours before any other show even started for the season. The promos didn't really do it for me, partly because I thought I'd need to suspend far too much disbelief. The buzz on the show is generally good. My question: is the good buzz because it's good or just something new after a long summer? It's set up, like quite a few shows this season, for a 13-episode run. I expect it to run completely (if not longer), if for no other reason than Fox owns part of it.
the breakdown
13+. It doesn't appear to be just keeping "24"'s slot warm. Fox has been pushing it rather heavily. It's got a tough slot to catch on, especially being against "Monday Night Football" in most of the country.
